 Yes, can't wait!
It's OK, would like to have it.
 Not worth my time.
Sticking to Windows XP or later

I would have migrated by now myself...except I need to wait till I can buy another hard drive because I just have so much god damn stuff I need to backup.

Vista can be harder to use than XP if you don't understand how the file ownership and permissions work.
In overall, Vista is a bit harder than XP, but nothing so hard.
In resource,s it need 512MB+ RAM, a good processor (don't remember the minimal specis, try www.ati.com that it has a navigator-based program that can define if your pc can run vista) and a video card around an ATI Radeon 9600 to run with all aero glass features.
In safety area, it is like MACOS, that asks for a lot of actions to be performed, like activating and deactivating MCAfee Antivirus. It is safer than XP was.
I really recommend Windows Vista.

Any questions?

My pc has a rating of 3.8 (from video card in gaming) as it is now.
Specs: Intel P4 HT 3.2GHz, 1GB RAM DDR and ATI Radeon 9600XT 128mb

In case of your spec which can start XP, it is possible to use Vista comfortably by not using Windows Aero. (Fizzyboy already said about this...)

Well, I heard that Home Basic Edition doesn't have special function like Windows Aero, but it can use comfortably. So I bought the reservation ticket of Windows Vista Home Basic Edition in this week. I'm looking foward to buy it, hehe....

Home basic is vista with xp's graphical look.
Sometimes some program require that the "Vista's Aero features" need to be disabled (like realplayer when resizing) in order to work.
Vista Home Basic does not have the aero glass.

If anyone needs help with vista...

Why would you use RealPlayer anyways? :p

To play rmvb files, but I already got Media Player Classic + Real codec.
Anyway, it's also a good example of how Vista handles the automatic aero disabling.

Indeed, most people don't seem to realise that as "evil" as Microsoft is...they are actually moving forward, not back.

Ppl tend to get scared of such major changes and stall in XP instead of using Vista. It is very well expcted as it happened with 98 and XP.

I use Vista on my laptop and desktop already - and for me it is worth it. It is faster, more responsive, and a lot more stable than XP was. You do need to remember though, that a lot of the changes were under the hood - the underlying code - not much stuff that can be shown through the user interface. As a programmer I have already tested some of these changes and am amazed at how easy it is to create powerful, network aware, and good looking programs. Yes there are some incompatibilities with programs, but that happens when technology moves forward.

Don't worry though, you can still install the codecs needed to watch all of your anime! :E
