mmkay codec problems is always annoying these are the things i use when i play audio and media files, for audio i use an audio player that does not require you to install any audio codecs at all, it's called foobar 2000 and can be found at http://www.foobar2000.org, most people does not like it because it's really simple and has not so many skins ;) but i love it, and for my media files i use a player called Media Player Classic and a codec pack called CCCP, the CCCP comes with Media Player Classic so you do not have to install that too, website for the CCCP pack is at. http://www.cccp-project.net/ i would suggest you to uninstall k-lite pack and get this, it's made by some anime fansub groups and it works really good, but oh well you use what you want ^_^

i think K-LITE is the most popular codec for videos, and i also recommends the DeFiler codec for .OGM files, and btw what does the audio codecs for? is there other format for audio files that needs codecs for them to be played?

There many types of audio codec, but I use OGG and AAC.
OGG uses in my computer, and AAC uses in my music player...
So if we use these codecs, they would rather use properly than popularly decide.

Well...thanks a lot of information Jolt.

I often burn my music file to CD-RW.
For my codec, it is only for backup.

However, some of CD Players support reading MP3 and WMA.
In this case, MP3 or the WMA file that exists in CD can be read by them.
