So would anyone here would name their kids after anime/manga characters?When I have kids the boy will be named Kenshin & the girl will be named Belldandy,Aoi, or Asuka.

I name pretty much everything after anime characters (( Except for Winter, my Son )), so, yep, I like Asuka and Kikyo and for a boy Cloud (( not from an anime =P, but anyway )) or Saga .

I named my jeep Megumi-chan after Megumi Morisato. Right now, she's my baby girl. I would have to check with the wife about naming kids after manga characters, but I like Oyuki for a girl and Kyosuke for a boy. I know a guy on another website who named his daughter Belldandy Mara.

Im thinking about naming my PT Cruiser the Outlaw Star since the dashboard around the dials is red and it reminds me of the Outlaw Star's dial and the car is red. I've thought about naming a ship in my MMO Serenity (I know its not even animated but hey...).

If I were to use an anime name, I would probably have to go with Belldandy (or maybe the root variant of Verdandi) since it has to do with the present and its nice and effeminite.

I wouldnt use Lind since according to wikipedia, there is a tale where Lind got sick, Odin got dressed up tricked her husband into binding her to a bed and then Odin raped her and she had Baldur who went on to avenge someone, so in summery: I dont want to jinx the little girl that way.

Skuld would be nice since it has to do with the future but as a friend pointed out, its kinda got the burly angry viking sound to it.

All other anime girl names: Ehh... no.

Anime name for the boys: I would want to save them from bullying and teasing and myself angry shouts of "Why did you name me Alucard?!" and psyciatrist bills for mental anguish because of the names.

Ive never thought about nameing my truck after an anime/character.Dammit why didnt I think of that?
