I'm in the same boat as you.I think it's one of the best openings.I'm also lookn for the soundtrack but can't find it.

Hmm.. I have:
- the original Macross soundtrack,
- original Robotech album, a revised Robotech CD and the 25th Anniversary Robotech CD,
- various Tenchi CD's such as the Tenchi Universe, 2 different Tenchi Muyo OAV CDs,
- various Gall Force CD's, including the Gall Force: Eternal Story soundtrack
- the AMG movie soundtrack, the OAV AMG Soundtrack CDs 1 & 2 (both favs) .. I'm losing track here.. a couple other AMG CD's (a couple I think are from dramas but it's in japanese sooo..)
- a Battle of the Planets CD (sigh - this is such a bad CD),
- various Pokemon/Pocket Monster CD's including the full original background music CD, Pokemon the First Movie CD, Pokemon 2000 Soundtrack, Pokemon Heroes, Pokemon 4Ever, etc.
- Cardcaptors soundtrack
- Cardcaptor Sakura CDs - all four volumes
- Pretty Sammy soundtrack (drama, pretty bad)
- Anime Themes Collection CD, with of course, the AMG OAV beginning

I'm sure there's a few more but I'd have to look
