Well, the manga has only 8 vols, so the guys animating the manga have to stretch it to make it into a TV series. So there are lots of stuff in the anime that is not in the manga.

well, to me, Chobits it is one of the best series there is!
My personal opinion is that the manga is way better than the anime series. I really don't like anime versions, specially if it is a CLAMP work.

i agree. the manga are always fun to read and when they make a series it sometimes can kill some of the popularity of it.

Oh I read the first 3 volumes of the series, i really enjoyed it but its so hard to get where i am. I hear simmilar reviews about CLAMP work when it is turned into a series, i hear its never as good but i guess its the same with any novel turned into a movie. Although what channel do u use to see these animes? I've been trying to find an american channel i can purvchase to watch anime ^-^ YTV doesnt'y provide enough, and to pruchase the series in VHS or DVD is waaaaaay to expnsive, its like $800 for the Ranma box set o.o
