well, while on the subject of dearS, does anyone else beside me find it amusing that they play soft porn music whenver ren decides to change into her alient outfit

Haha... that whole series was amusing... Ren is cute, sure, but I liked the other girl better... even though i've forgotten her name now. The main guy though (forgot his name too ^^') I hated him at first... he's such a jerk...

*sigh* I'll always be so biased because i saw Chobits first, but...
...Ren seemed kinda forgettable to me. And the softcore porn clothes changing music oozes more cheese than a nacho stand.

oh, i definitly agree. i saw chobits first and it is a lot better than DearS. I watched DearS mostly because i had just finished an increadibly depressing series and needed something lighthearted for a change of mood, DearS was mostly a moderatly amusing comedy to me, not much of a romance series

I agree that Chobits was a lot better even though it did have it's dirty moments as well. It was a much better series for the romance parts and far cuter. DearS was more just for the girls in tight clothing...

Chobits had its dirty moments.
DearS WAS a dirty moment. 13 episodes long.

Haha, so true. The whole living in the closet and wearing next to nothing thing... I just didn't like Ren's character. The other girl was alright but I just couldn't find myself wanting things to work out for Ren really. Chii on the other hand... I cried during parts of that series when really bad things were happening. I'd say that overall it's just the plot of Chobits that makes DearS look as bad as it does.

Yeah, and the fact that DearS almost looks like a sick X-rated parody of Chobits. I mean, you even have your other characters, such as your dangerous towering dude and fiery woman, the good-looking teacher, all of that! In the manga, there's even a kidnapping. The plot is not different, and a badly butchered form of the Chobits plot.

As for Chobits and its emotion? I actually despise that one guy, Dragonfly, now. I am convinced that he isn't reformed. Had Chobits continued, he would be the main villain. Prove me wrong. I dare you.
