Just wondering what media player do you prefer using? I use VLC mostly, although sometimes I play AVIs in Divx Player.

VLC is the ultimate platform for all-purpose media viewing. Windows Media player and iTunes come in second. If you download a DivX codec, Windows Media Player will handle DivX .avi files very easily. For music, iTunes is by far the most efficient.

Media Player Classic (MPC) is the best, it also comes with Matroska Codec Pack. If you like the crappy VLC it means you dont know MPC yet.

For the longest time I used VLC with the CCCP codec pack. I still use VLC, but I also dabble in Media Player Classic. Like most microsoft programs, I cannot stand window's media player...

Unfortunately, I have tested both programs out. VLC is superior to MPC in all aspects. A few things are lacking about MPC, and VLC is more portable all-purpose player than MPC. This enables even the lower-level USB devices to carry VLC, which is great for usage on networks that do not allow for codecs to be installed. Overall, VLC is my preferred media player. Besides, it can play anything (except for .rm files) and is highly portable.

I just use media player classic that comes with the Klite codec pack and that normally plays everything, though sometimes i use VLC if i find something MPC doesn't like.

Though i hate how VLC wont let me skip through movies smoothly it only does it in big steps =s

I use VLC for almost everything, because I do not have to install any codec pack, and it is very portable because of that so I can include it on my external drive and view my vids on every pc.
