sorry about that! gomen! we almost got diverted there!
Im not sure about Korean mangas because i never read any, but i heard that alot of the artwork for some Japanese animes have been to outsourced to Korea, so maybe we already are looking at the work from Korea!

just joining in ^-^ well the manga typ i really love would most likely be CLAMP, its a group of 4 or 5 women that make mangas such as chobits, X/1999, and Rayearth ^-^ I love their art, its so beautiful, and I also love the art in Inuyasha (forgot the artists name ^.^) and of coarse the art in AMG thats my fave of all ^-^ I can't draw as majestically as that ^-^

Clamp's stuff really is beautiful... I've been reading Tsubasa recently, and even though the proportions are off, their stories are so good and their art style so great that I'm hooked. ^_^;

Tsubasa is CLAMP's multiverse anime. Basically, they use characters from allll their other manga, throw in some new ones, and put them in a new story. It stars two returning characters, Sakura and Syaoran, from Card Captor Sakura. Sakura is a princess and Syaoran is her best friend; they're actually in love, but haven't told each other. Anyway, Sakura goes to an excavation site and the ruins there unleash an incredible power in her. The mysterious villains try to take that from her, but Syaoran saves her before they can. However, their interference causes Sakura to lose all her memories.

Syaoran goes to the "Space Time Witch" Yuuko begging for help. Yuuko tells him that she will grant him the power to travel from universe to universe looking for Sakura's lost memories (in the form of feathers), but it will come at a terrible price: the only memories Sakura will not be able to retrieve are the ones she had of Syaoran. It will be as if their relationship had never existed.

Syaoran cares for Sakura so much that he agrees, even if it means Sakura will never love him. So Yuuko summons up two other travelers to help him on his journey, and the adventure begins! The manga also crosses over with the series "xXxHolic", which is a series all about Yuuko and her assistant. That one's much more of a comedy, and they're slated to make a movie out of it!

And in reply to K1's post about outsourcing to Korea, it's true. America's been doing that since the late 80s for everything but Disney Feature Films (they outsource to Japan for 'tweening). Japan has just started doing it recently.

i really like the idea of characters from different anime coming together in one story! it's a shame that i dont know all the characters in Tsubasa, are there any other mangas out there like it?

Oh! I saw that manga in the book sotres, but i think they gave oit a different name ^-^ I feel bad for Sakura and Syaoran, the irony in their relationship is terrible, does everyone know the ending for Card Captore Sakura? If not then i won't say it ^-^

As far as I know, there isn't another manga out there like it... most creators aren't prolific enough to make one! Wow, I hope there *is* going to be a Tsubasa anime... That'd be second on my list to buy (after AMG!). I haven't read all of Clamp's manga, either, but really the cameos are just a bonus... the story carries itself on its own, and the characters all play different parts than they originally did anyway. Plus, at the end of each US volume, they have notes about where all the characters come from.

Oh, and no, I haven't watched all of CCS yet, kitori. Thanks for not spoiling it. ^_^;

the only clamp manga i have are angelic layer and chobits (but chobits got kinda boring with the 5th manga, so i havent even read the 6th... angelic layer i like for its cuteness ^^)
i wonder what a mixture of them both would be^^

I love Clamp's art its so beautiful, however what concerns me is they may not finish the series here where I am do to some of the suject matter in it ^-^' However, i would love to see the rest of the AMG series here, I didn't even know there were different versions of the series. Does anyone know a website I could go to to get samples or synopsis' of them? Sadly AMG is next to impossible to find where I am ^-^ Howver there is a great comic book store that has loads of anime here, not many people know abouyt it because it has a low rofile and its practically hidden in the city, its cool tho ^-^ I like popping in and out, Im trying to study anatimy from the anime guide books there that they provide on my own to improve my skills.
