How much of the work does Fujishima do? my guess:
for the new anime.... nothing but the concept art, maybe some of the promotional stuff, but not likley.
for the old anime....concept art, likley storyboards, perhaps even scene layouts for the movie, probably most of the promotional items
for the manga.... all of it...though i admit it's possible he has someone to do the inking

Yeah, from what I know, manga artists are far more involved in the making of their own manga than US artists are involved in American comics. In the US, you have the writer, penciller, inker, and colorist, at minimum. Manga artists generally do it all themselves, unless thier name is actually a pseudonym for a team (like CLAMP)

i like it how in Japan the original manga artist actually own their own ideas and characters etc. unlike the American counterparts where they're owned by big companies.

Yeah, I HATE how industrialized everything is in America! I mean, yay capitalism to a certain extent, but things are getting ridiculous... health care should NOT be an industry... but I digress. You're right, it is really nice to see that manga artists get a lot more control. I guess they still do have to sell the rights to their stuff in order to get it animated, but that's really nice to know they get to keep the rights to their original manga.

Yeah, but that could be said about *all* people in *all* places. *gently nudges the conversation back towards the topic* A lot of the Korean Manhwa artists are really impressive, too. I like the manga Priest for its use of dramatic lightning, and its sketchiness.
