FMA is a great anime, one of mine favorites. The TV show is just long enough and has a deep and very interesting storyline, and the movie is kind of boring, but gives the anime the correct ending.

after the series I lost touch, I think they tried to hard to teach morals/teachings to the audience. It was entertaining though, I liked it for a while.....there's a movie?

Yup, the movie is named Conqueror of Shambala, and I think they made it to give the anime a more closed ending, cause after the serie the ending was soo open that it seemed to becoming another season or more episodes.

As I said before the movie is kind of boring, and contains almost no alchemy, but have you seen the serie you should see the movie.
