They are immortal by my defination of it earlier ageless but not invincible they can die more accurately be killed by decapation in the series they are supposed to get "power" from killing other immortals and they can sense other immortals although this "power" seems to do nothing as thy have no special powers and i do not see anydifference i suggest the 1st movie over the other movies and tv series.

that actually sounds really interesting. sure there may be senseless violence, but if it has immortals in it, then it must be good. i should try and find the movies then!

I agree with fenrir, the first movie really is the only part worth watching. The other movies were just an exercise in ruining a good story. The tv show is just flogging a dead horse, unless you like poorly choreographed swordfights, and a muddled go-nowhere storyline with one dimensional characters(yes not even good enough for two dimensional)

and that is why i like lord of the rings. it has fantasy and awesome scenes in it! plus, it has the immortal type of creatures in it. its overall a really good movie and my favorite!

Lord of the Rings....ah...I just -loved- the final battle in the third movie. My friends thought I'd gone nuts, I was punching and kicking along, like I was fighting myself. I have a very active imagination. :heh:

Riiiiight...That's the one I'm planning to buy for my sister too. And that's great, Urd-san. I don't think I'd be able to sit in those cinema-chairs for that long, but I did watch the extended version of the first and second movie at home. Such lovely movies. The book gets boring after a while, though.

I only saw the first movie, which was beautifull and very well done. So much was lost from the book though, I decided to stick with the novel and skip the other movies.

Well...I really advise you just to see the last one, Lion-san. That one is really worth watching. I personally found the first piece of the book a lot better then the first movie, but the end battle is just...so incredible, truly a must-see.

Well if PJ wad to follow the book thoroughly, there will be ten movies instead of 3. I think the Ride of the Rohirimm is one of the best.

Rei, i think u also watch the movie for O.R.L.A.N.D.O B.L.O.O.M
