Okay, I found myself having some questions about how things happen around Heaven, and since I kind of need answers to those stuff, I thought it might be nice to have a post where you can ask info about Heaven.
Anywho, here are some of the questions.
1. Why is it that the demons and the Goddesses/Gods are opposites?
2. What do they do to 'twart' their plans? Like what did Mara do?
3. How does the doublet system work?
4. When are a Goddess/God and a demon joined in the Doublet System?

Anyone has the answers?

doublet? you mean the alterego thing? it was, someway or another, put in place by Heaven and Hell to prevent themselves to kill each other and that way, maintain a certain balances... i think.

Yeah, I'd figured as much. But also, from what I figure with the whole Welsper issue, the God(dess) and demon aren't supposed to remember the other person. It's pretty smart, actually. :nods:

sure sounds that way but Velsper remembered Belldandy but Bell didnt remember him......how did he remember?

Ooooooh, that one I know!!! Yay me! Welsper never wanted to forget about Belldandy, that's why he put a curse on himself. The curse caused him to remember Bell-chan, but it also caused him to stay a child. Tada! Kinda smart, if you ask me.

But his powers put a strain on his small body causing him to be actually dying when he finally met belldandy

Really? Now -that- I didn't know. But it does explain why she had to remember his name by herself; it was to save him! Yay!

she had to remember his name so time would continue, Welsper stopped time so he would continue to live, and by the same occasion, let Bel live as well because, being alteregoes ment sharing the same life (if one dies, the other one does too, that's why demons and god(desse)s don't really physically attack themselves). and i don't know the little phrase in the manga in english but it must be smething like : the closest strangers, the most distant cousins.

hmmm..... not sure bout' the time stoppin'. but i remember that bell had her time turned back when she blocked a blow for k1. will go and check. :P

oh i'm quite sure of time stopping... i just re-read it... and yea, the spell Welsper casted was for Keichi, it was supposed to make Keichi so young he would return to stage of egg (?), and finally dissapear... but since Bell's immortal and since immortals can't die with a spell, it only made her become a child... (i'll stop here, i'm spoiling... ^^')

there seems to be some confusion here as to what Yggdrasil really is looking at the replies posted. Technically the actual Yggdrasil is a sort of "computer" system that manages Heaven and Earth. It does this by simulating and manipulating the superstring of the universe (for more detail explanation look up info on superstring theory)

I think most of us know that, really. I started this thread to find out how some things are arranged in Heaven and the rules of Yggdrasil system concerning certain things. Like I asked about the doublet system and stuff.

oh i see, pardon my misunderstanding.
In that case i myself would like to know how gods and goddesses age in the AMG world and do goddesses need food? i know Skuld eats icecream, Urd drinks sake to get their batteries going sometimes and Belldandy likes drinking tea but i don't seem to recall seeing them hav a full meal.

i have my own thory for the time going in heaven and earth, as well as for hell... but i took it from "the Chronicles of the Amber Princes" by Zelazni (well i don't if it's a the pricise title in english but oh well, it's not that important...)

i think that the time in the different zones goes by quite differently... like for example, earth time probably passes by much much more quicker than in the heaven and hell zones... that would explain to me why god(desse)s and devils seem immortal and don't grow old as quickly as humans, because their body folows the time of their original zone... so 1 second in heaven might be days or even years for the eart zone...

i hope i didn't say things too complicatedly.... i do that sometimes... (i often don't make myself understood...)

I have thought about that myself, Morphee-san, although I based it on the fact that in stories and stuff, the time that a mortal spends in the Faerie realm passes much slower then on the Earth. For example a whole week will turn into 100 years or more.
But that wouldn't explain why it is that Belldandy and Keiichi seem to age the same, since both knew eachother as kids of the same age, and they're the same age now. That'd eliminate that idea.
