I've recently started watching this series and am currently at the sixth episode. It's a very nice, laid back, feel-good anime. With a lot of historical correctness, honestly. I think that's what it was honoured for the most, actually.

I can't see that much of the love story yet - at least, there isn't that much romantical interaction between Edward and Emma, but those hints I do catch are awesome.

I'm very dissapointed at the ending - it's highly plausible, but so open that you just can't -not- look at the second series. A real shame.

I've been watching the sequel recently; it's called Emma: Second Act. It introduces a lot of new characters, of which I like Hans, an attendant at Emma's new job, best. He's rough around the edges, but very handsome and gentleman-like. He's also less wellspoken - as in, he states things as they are.

I'm kind of torn at the moment, while watching episode 8th. Hans is such a wonderful character that he deserves to be with whomever he loves, even with that person being Emma. But William and Emma should be together, also. I think, in my opinion, someone who is nicer and prettier than Emma would suit Hans perfectly.
I'm quite smitten with his character, actually.

Has anyone else seen the sequel of the series?
