I don't know about chu all but I'm tired of anime havn robots.I know Japanses luv robots.But Im tired of cn good anime series that has mecha & when the series will be just as good or even better without mecha.So what about u'all?

i like mecha. gundam for example needs them. some series have them but they look bad or act too cheesy. few series add them in randomly and not for a long time, thats okish. im having a brain fart now and cant remember the series names but a few reviews ppl have given them iv seen were kinda funny. something like " a story about a girl and a boy and their fighting robots (original idea there)" robots are good but only fighting series like gundam need them. also, dunno how they can do it but war series should have something besides robots and space battles, series like yukikaze were good because no robots.

Mecha series like all the Gundams & Full Metal Panic r cool.But series like Sakura Wars would have better without mecha.There r few other series*I cant remember names too* that in my opinion r ruined by havn mecha n them.I only hav 3 mecha series cuz they r the only good mecha series.Although Neon Genesis Evangelion would still b a great series without the mecha.

The only anime that have good mechas is Macross:E :D :=

When all cartoon network would do was air mech anime, I was thinking enough already with the mech and dragonball anime! Put something else on!! :sarc:

If you would like to see some new mecha anime that is any good, I recommend either Gundam Wing (for die-hard fans), Gundam 00 (the newest series, and its also very relistic, talking about politcs and having technology that doesn't sound too insane), or else watch Samurai 7 (evil looking mech, but still cool, nonetheless). If you don't like any mecha, stick to what you like, okay?:)

Although I really like mecha I believe that the must not overdo it as so often happens in new series that have mecha in them. The mecha series I liked the most was Gundam Wing.
So I voted it's nice to have.

I guess it really depends what you like to watch. I'm a big mecha fan so I usually watch shows like Gundam and Macross. I agree with the OP about it being overdone in some series. It's just not necessary to the plot, just more eye candy. If were to introduce someone to the mecha genre, I'd probably show them something like the older Gundam series like 08th MS Team or Gundam 0080. Robotech would also be on the last. I'm very old school. ^_-
