Ok here goes i started to reead some new manga series a while ago.

Shaolin Sisters : i like this one alot it's pretty well drawn, here is a bit of the story from tokyopop: Separated at birth, three Shaolin Princesses trained in the arts of supernatural and physical combat must work together to defeat evil.

Tokyo Mew Mew : it's nice storywise and i like the art., and it has a catgirl *nyaa* ;) here is some info on the main story from tokyopop: Ichigo is out on a hot date with her 'crush' when suddenly she's involved in an odd incident in which her DNA is merged with the DNA of an almost extinct wildcat. When four other girls' DNA is merged with the DNA of four other almost extinct animals, it's apparent that they're part of a much bigger plan. Ichigo and her friends have been chosen to become a part of a secret project called the "Mew Project." Their mission: To protect the planet from aliens who are using the planet's animals to attack humans.

Excel Saga: Ok this manga is just FUN FUN FUN :o its wicked and crazy & lots of fun read it!!!: The story is mainly about a girl named Excel that has a super genki personality :) and that works for a super-secret organization called Across.
Across's main goal in the story is to take over the world.

That's all ^_^

Tenjou Tenge is very good. Definitely worth checking out, but not for kids.

The Hyperpolice manga is finally being released in the US... funny stuff.

Some of the other newer series I've really taken a liking to:

Mahoromatic: The manga version is great, but a bit more Ecchi than the anime.
World of Narue: Very sweet and funny.
Negima: Ah, Akamatsu goodness. Need I say more?
Psychic Academy: a surprisingly good story.

Wow where do u find the information on new realeased mangas ^-^? I was reading a managzine, whats the name Animerica? yes it was, however i found it way to expensive on my budget, $10.00 per magazine is way to excessive, im sorry but we all have our limitations ^-^'

25 bucks for a magazine???? You're right, that is highway robbery. They should at least wear a mask and ride a horse.

Geesh i thought 10 bucks was high, but 25 is alot, you could buy 3 books for that! Hey i just realised that manga's are more expensive then books. I can buy a fool soft cover novel for $9.89, yet I could pay $30.00 for a manga? Thank goddess for libraries!

Tell me about it, AMG here is around $30.00 the cheapest manga I have seen would probably be about $24.00 ^-^ However you can by the viz comics which usually put one chapter at a time in a magazine like booklet for $4.50 (on sale at hald price!) or you can buy the Shounen Jump magazine for a small price at $12.00 for about 8 different mangas. However they do not tend to be newer manga releases, for that you might get Smile magazine for about $8.00 ^-^ The prices are not bad in most places, I think its expensive because manga is new here, most book stores carry them now ^-^

With the exception of AMG, almost every manga I have is between $7.95 and $15.95 (probably 90% of them are $9.95). These are US dollars, of course. Are you in Canada (the only other country I can think of that calls their money the dollar), or somewhere else? If it is Canada, I can see the exchange rate being responsible for the price difference. If you are in the US, whoever is selling that stuff is jacking the price way above the list price, which is illegal in some areas.

Yes I am in Canada ^-^ the cheepist way to get them is to pay for chapters which are usaully by themsevles about $3-$5 a peice. But as you can tell, in the end you may end up paying more that way then just buying the book. It's pretty anoyiing ^-^ thats whay i have to beg my library to get more, their actually very well stocked with manga.

Well, Dark Horse has ended the monthly series (individual chapters), so that will no longer be an issue (heh heh). They're releasing going to be releasing the volumes (usually 5 to 10 chapters) instead, and correctly numbered. I'm hoping that they go with the original Japanese covers instead of the American ones they came up with (naturally, the title would have to be translated). I'm also hoping they will split them up the way they were in Japan, instead of moving chapters from one volume to another just to have one story arc per volume.

The images for the chapters were changed? can you give me an example, or a web site that would show that Keiichi?

I kind of liked having the syory all in one book ^-^ It left me satsified and ready to read more, rather then waiting for the next installment to appear, only to eventually lose interest, i find that hapens alot with me.
