This isn't really an anime, as in that it hasn't got any episodes, but it's one hell of a movie! I finally saw it a few days ago, and I absolutely love it! Chihiro sure is an amazing girl, and she's funny. From doing nothing but crying at first to being a very strang, indepent young lady. I really think that this is one of Miyazaki's best movies up until now.

I've been downloading Castles in the Sky and Princess Mononoke after I realized how good Spirited Away was. But what really surprised me was that he's the one behind 'The Last Unicorn'. I'm not sure if anyone knows it, but I really loved that one.

Okay, so I just saw Princess Mononoke and the ending sucks! Why do they have to be apart?! It's so unfair. The song at the end sure is beautiful though. And you're right about the gore, Vlax-san. Pretty disgusting.

Spirited away did not even really come on cinema here, they kind of skiped it assuming South africans hate anime or something, and I looked in the newspapers and everything to see when it would be showing and it never did, though on t.v. and in magazines it was given 5 stars and everything luckily I managed to rent the dvd and watch it, and it was great, and people had said it was a pure childrens movie, but no one I know who has watched it agree's with this, I don't either I thought it was excellent and I now see why Miyazaki is famed for his backrounds and I'm really happy I rented it on dvd.

I was the only one in my family and friend-circle who wanted to see that. And after having to see X-men2 all by myself, I decided on just renting or downloading it. :) And you're right about the backgrounds, I've taken so many screenshots of the scenery to try and make good wallpapers, it's really great.

Heh, I usually end up seeing a movie that I really don't want to see. Except when they're gonna see some pic that really, REALLY stinks in my eyes. I usually give everything a chance.

Spirited Away is very good. Because of Hayao Miyazaki's work it is very well done. Haku is my favorite character in there.
