I got an MP4 player as a present ... i got to know it didn't cost more than 80 euros from e-bay and it was new mind you!!

iPods are indeed a symbol of status...all my iPods were gifts. Personally, as long as the device is compact and functional, I would not mind what it is. The first generation iPod Nano (2GB) costs as much as a sixth generation iPod Classic (80GB), so I think that is a good thing. Of course, we can't help but feel that we were ripped off:p

The 2nd gen 80 gb Zune Media Player is a really good deal; I think that will be the next one that I get since my 60 gb Creative Zen is already completely full with music. I always have such a hard time figuring out what to get rid of when I put new stuff on it because I listen to pretty much all of it regularly, but I have over 100 gb of music total on my computer, and am always downloading more stuff from the many different styles I listen to.
