*Shrug* So did I, Nina got all the ice queen angst that Natsuki had in Mai HiME and that was one of the many things I liked about her character, so when it tranfered.....

[Reading the end to the HiME manga, hehe, Akira in the female uniform is to funny for words]

One of the HiME's in the first series (Fuka's mysterious ninja to quote Takumi's nickname for her after first seeing her do the HiME thing in her disguise)
In Otome she is Prince Takumi's (Mai's younger brother in both series' incidently) bodyguard and substitute (the girl Shizuru, erm, exposes...as an imposter, after all, no girl can slip by without Shizuru's lesbian senses tingling lol).
Her crossdressing to disguise herself is a theme present in both series' as is her attraction to Takumi that leaves most people assuming he is gay as Akira is rarely out of disguise, so when she displays concern or affection as we saw in Otome when she kisses him to give him his medicine....
That in mind, it's easy to see why alot of people found Akira being forced to dress like a girl at the end of the HiME manga funny, likewise her appearance in the anime special set after the first series where we see her in a pink dress of all things, being pushed on a swing by Takumi.

I just have an eye for detail and a very good memory, and it helps that Mai HiME has some of my favourite themes (angst, character deaths, flipouts, cursed weapons, plots, legends and a healthy dose of betrayal/tragedy coupled with an awesome orchestral score, a rariety in modern anime).
Just to point out I still draw the line way before some people, (I've known people who could recite bio data about characters, now where I might spout the occasional quote, that my friends is truely scary).
All that said and done I still fully intend to grab the first copy of the Mai HiME DVD that becomes available in England *shrug*

Perhaps, I have a lot of standards when it comes to fandom, for example, I have never brought a resin kit for any show ever, nor do I intend to. I have never brought anime themed clothing, I've been tempted, but never have, actually brought an OST (if I really like a track, I find out it's name and DL it), I *have* drawn fanart of things, and written fanfiction, but only when I have an idea I think might actually be interesting, not just to pair off my favourite characters etc and I have never written anything lime-esk.
I do as shown, pay attention to information given both in anime, manga and various 'specials', and store it in memory.

Creep you out? Like the resins look like ditto(pokemon) and they creep you out? Is that what you mean?

Don't make me hurt you. You do realise that the word 'ditto' means 'likewise' a form of agreement, I was agreeing with your previous statement, and then going on to make an unrelated one about the people who *do* collect/use the things.
