I haven't watched the Mai Otome specials, but I watched all the Mai HiME ones, those were funny, especially Nao's, it was like a cheesy late-night ad lol.
I did watch a little Mai HiME, and spotted the Nina look alike in Mai's class, I wonder who else shows up, I know Arika appears in the last episode.

it's really only the ponytails actiing as bangs that are similar (and even then in Mikoto's case they actually are her bangs)
