Well - here's what I have to say about it...

Love is something that last forever, if it really is love. That is one of the things that this show seems to address.

However, true love is something so rare in this universe we often call other things love. Such as "I love this icecream." or "I love my father."

The english language is greatly faulted in having only one word for love, and we over use it. When one says, "true love." it means that person is willing to give up everything about himself or herself to become one with the other.

Also - it is essential to note that because Belldandy is a goddess, it is important to note that her existance in our plane on the long term throws everything out of balance. Thusly - the universe is trying to pull them apart because of this.

So - for them to stay together. One of two things must eventually happen.

Either he must become a god, or she must become a mortal. The ultimate sacrifice, or the ultimate acsention.

However, I believe the creator of this show is out to prove that love can conquer all... so that would mean that Belldandy must leave behind her sisters and her family forever.

and of course, there is the chance that they will be seperated... but will still be with each other in their hearts. An annoying possibility that drives me right up the wall... but never underestimate a writer's folly at the end of a series.

I don't think there is any concern that what Bell and K1 feel for each other isn't true love, they've proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is, if given the chance to be together permanently they would take it regardless of the other costs (Also I doubt if Bell became a mortal that her sister's would just leave, if anything they'd interfere even more), but I doubt she'll be forced to give up her goddess status, and I doubt that K1 will become a god, I think something else will happen, because the two of them being seperated would be too traumatic to them, as I said Belldandy doesn't seem like she'd take losing K1 very well, considering how she reacts to any threat to him or their relationship, in addition as we saw in queen Sayoko K1 did become a bit depressed when he thought Bell was gone, and in fact the ending of the arc was probably the one time he's shown a Belldandy level of emotion when he hugs her.

they would be together forever...for better or worse right? That's how love goes...

adding the contract proposed by Keiichi and Belldandy definitely makes their bonds stronger...

even if we remove the contract, still Belldandy would refuse to just leave Keiichi behind because of some silly contract revoke...thus making their bonds stronger than ever.

I'll quote Avinash's statement

"So - for them to stay together. One of two things must eventually happen.

Either he must become a god, or she must become a mortal. The ultimate sacrifice, or the ultimate acsention."

well if Keiichi becomes a God, that would probably take some training for Him...plus he'd just also become a Demi-God because of his half-human race...so probably he'd still wrinkle.

But if Bell-chan becomes a mortal...it could be as quick as a snap of a finger...and voila! Both of them will now wrinkle for the best times of their life! Remember one of Bell's lines in both the movie and the series is that she is willing to die for Keiichi. And it means not only that but she will also be WILLING to die WITH Keiichi.

If you've watched City of Angels starring Nicholas Cage...in that movie he was an angel...but fell in love with a mortal...so he gave up his being supreme and went down with the brothers from the hood. xD

one of the whole concept story of Ah! my Goddess is about k1 and bell being together forever, thats what makes the story "everlasting" lol. it is true that goddesses are immortals and human beings are mortals, thus they have different dimensions and chromosomes, but it would be sad for the whole story about k1 growing old and bell chan at the same features, it might anger the fans. i mean, they would'nt wanna see an old man loving a young woman. thats a different concept for AMG. but the fact is, bell-can wants to be with k1 forever (vice versa), so bellchan wont care about k1 slowly aging, just as long as she keeps this promise to k1. you see why she once said "i dont care if i loose my goddess liscense" just as long as she is with k1... bellchan's promise to k1 has reached beyond the summit of the contract.

and oh! one more thing... if you ever you happen to pass by bell-can and k1 in the streets, ask her this: "why are you both always together?"lol

her answer is obviuos! lol

the "contract" is stored at the system in a kind of "heaven server". like what happened in the AMG2 where the data is loss or watever and keiichi have to use his voice recall the contract.since it's a system , it always can be hacked.. so it can ends with belldandy try to recover the contract and the ending is for you to guess... thats a bad ending really.

but in the other ways... i think that if keiichi do question "what happen when i m old and you.." maybe she'll drop her license and become mortal like keiichi ?

The contract they made did state that Keichii wants a goddess like Belldandy to be with him FOREVER. I think this is quite obvious that they will be together forever :)

Ithink the conctract is important, but they really love each other, so this contrtact is in a second term. Their love is what is going to make them be togheter forever.

Well as K1 said this is not about contracts or goddesses.

They want to be together and that's the most important fact

The contract isn't even really necessary. The virus in the movie voided the contract. And bell still stayed. She "renewed" the contract most likely as a matter of formality and probably for paperwork purposes in heaven. I'm sure she would have stayed even if they didn't have a contract.

Or you can just consider their love as the contract. Either one works just fine. =)

Well in the Anime they said that without the contract Bell would have to leave when the workload in Heaven grew to a point where she was needed

So Belldandy basically just made it official to avoid friction. Makes sense.

I bet urd would do something about the work before bell has to leave. like make a potion to get someone else to do bell's work. haha.

Well if it came down to it she might accept the first class desgination for a period of time to protect Bell and K1, since she's already passed the test

Maybe Bell might chose to be a mortal....remember in season 2.....when they were stuck in a room.....when they got out bell told k-1 that being human isn't bad so i think she liked the idea of being human...after all they both know that k-1 has and will die someday...though that ought to be sad not only to bell, but to skuld and Urd too.......
