You see...today, i am absent in school because of this darn chickenpox....and i might be absent in school in a week or so...if the healing is slow...

But what am i worried most is about the scars....can somebody in here give me tips on how to minimize them and speed up the healing of my poxies so that i can now go to school...?

Absolutely do NOT scratch! I know it itches, but the more you scratch, the more chance you have to getting scars.

put on oven mits thats what i did ^-^ and where cotten pj's cotten doesn't irritate the skin. As Rei said dont scratch, however if you get one that really really itches just give it a gentle rub and leave it alone, cause lets face it, its just about impossible to not scratch at all. i dunno if it works for pox but maybe u should try an anti itch cream? Other then that drink lots of soup, and play video games to distract you from the itch ^-^

drink lots of fluids, that always helps.
on the scratching thing, listen to what the two ladies before this post said. Dont scratch them because that causes the scarring. if it becomes too much try putting something cold on them or some Mopiko medication cream on them.

in general one can stop itching by distracting the brain, because the itch is caused by microscopic damage to your skin which sends signals to your brain to scratch. By putting something cold on the skin or some other distraction to the brain (like before videogames were suggested), this new sensation will send stronger signals to the brain which effectively cancels out the itch signals.

videogames eh?...well...i found that really effective...yesterday, i played PS2 and suddenly noticed that it is not itchy anymore...And for cold treatment.....how 'bout taking a bath at lest 3 times a day?

Also...is it effective if you rub some virgin coconut oil in the poxies? my mom did that to me yesterday...

Listen to her asguard-san.it surprisees me that you just now got the pox.I had them when I was a lil lad.Their is meds that your mom can get off the shelf.But I couldn't tell you what there.

actually its not unusual for adults to have pox, my mother has 4 children and she never caught pox from any of us when we had it when we were young. Some people are good at fighting it off i guess ^-^

i had chicken pox when i was a kid, if you are going to get the pox it is best if you get when youre a kid, once you had it, you will not get it again cos u have built up a defense for it. The older you are the more dangerous chicken pox becomes, i hear it is fatal for full grown senior adults sometimes.

Its the 4th day now since the poxies appeared...and i'm feeling good today compared in the last few days...the itchiness were starting to heal, the pus are disappearing, leaving some blood clots...and i'm not feeling groggy anymore...thanks to you guys... :E I really, REALLY thank you all...:E

..and you know what is the best weapon in fighting them? Eating eggs and mung beans can increase the spots, but you will be fully-recovered in just 3-5 days, and it is very effective!

...a person in here...she said the in her hometown, when a chickenpox arouses, they just eat those until the spots came out...after that, it will only need a few days to recover...

It is very fast and vey effective...in fact, i just suffer for a few days...compared to my bro who suffered for 2 weeks because of the medecine he had taken...medecines can only return the pox but it will not heal..in addition, when using medecines to control poxes...there is a big possibility that it will repeat again.
