The AMG movie was what really got me hooked. They should make another one after they complete the new series =)

Anyway, back on the topic: I would have to agree I like the old Belldandy better. The old style was nice because it gave Belldandy her innocent and heavenly quality, the quality that we're all so used to seeing......... Also it just looks better. *cough

i think the old belldandy was better to. the new bell doesn't look as detailed and has a rather long neck.

aside from being less detail...her naivity in her new look looks less than the older artwork.

I think it will be difficult to fully judge the new look until we see it in the new anime series.

maybe... I still think the look of the first 5 OVA's is best, I think the characters are done best in that way

Belldandy always looks pretty so it doesn't much matter to me which one they choose for things. I do like one of the older looks for Urd though. not the oldest, but one of them.

We have all been spoiled that the OVA's and Movie were made before the new series. Its just a fact that a full series due to time and money can't be as detailed as a OVA or movie can be. But I'll wait until I see the new anime before I judge, there have been very few looks at the new series out there.

yep Hikaryu there are 5 OVA's they came out years ago, you should be able to buy them or find them somewhere.

My favorite look is the movie version of Bell... it looks as though they stuck fairly close to it for the TV series, so I'm happy with it. I can understand the reasoning behind the change from the OVA, though... having gone to school for animation, I know that when designing a character, you're supposed to streamline the design as much as possible... frankly, with a TV budget, I'm just happy they left the yellow triangles on her outfit. :heh:

I think the new version is actually pretty. @.@ They keep updating their style to keep up with the new types of animation and designs out there, or at least that's what I think. With the huge popularity in CGed anime now, they probably want to compete with those titles as well as the old ones. I'm not afraid that this new series will die, either. There are too, too many fans out there to go and cancel the show.
