im agnostic so my idea of heaven would be someplace pleasant that looks a lot more luscious in life than Earth. Getting there? another story... =D

Well, I do believe in "heaven", because for me, heaven is a state where Living being [human, animals, trees] feels happy [and any other positive feeling] , as for "hell" is the state of sorrow, hatefull, and anyother negative feeling.

I'm quite impressed that this didn't turn into an argument. Most boards that bring up religion tend to become divided among those who believe and those who don't. So it's very nice to see such open-minded people here. I personally was raised as a Christian, and I do believe in God, Heaven and Hell, but I have done a lot of researching on the subject and I believe my views have switched to a much more metaphorical opinion of life and death. Meaning, I believe we all create our own hell by not truly being happy in life, and perhaps that continues on in death? I believe the same for heaven, I think heaven is when everything is in it's right place...so perhaps I believe that there isn't just one road to God, but religion is a very personal thing, and what we feel is right, is ultimately right. Kind of a Gnostic (not agnostic) approach as always by me.

Im agree, I also think that its something like "feeding our souls", we can feel very good or bad according to our actions
Still I cant understand why people dont believe in God, I mean look around you, not only this world, all the universe is more than incredible, that "Something" or "Someone" that build all the coincidences is what I call God, When you open your eyes you can see that everyday is real miracle. But I dont believe 100% in church...............

I personally don't believe in the "almighty god" that created everything for quite a few reasons, many of them are personal; but a simple one that pops up in my head (not a flame, don't misinterpret) who created god? and if he could have always been there, why couldn't i have always been here? I try to live my life how I feel is best and if there is a god, I'm sure heshe'll be happy with what I've done. To me it comes down to: does it matter if there is or isn't a god? This 'God' person (being whatever), if in existence, I'm sure would want us to be our free selves. Why would anybody (anything) want us to change our entire lifestyle? it would be insane.
Just my $0.02 though. ^_^

well, for me, it's because, what people believe is one of many things that keep that man alive. or I can say, as long as he/she believes in something, he/she is "alive". So, if I argue others opinion about these things, it's means I argue their "live", and I don't suppose to argue with it while I myself still don't know, why I am exist. But of course I do know why I alive and keep like that as long as time allow it.
It's because I have a reason to stay alive.
Well, it's simple answer you know, It's because we can't see god. If you gonna say, then I don't have brain because you can't see it You can see it, using technology. But it doesn't really matter you know, as long as you believe in god, God will alive within you, guide you, and take you to heaven. huh? what about me? well, I don't know, may be you can see me tortured in the hell, from heaven.
but anyway... we're getting away from the topic, you know.

I was baptized Christian, used to go to church every week, even went to a Catholic high school but I've never been heavily religious. I stopped going to church altogether a few years back around when I first started college. I identify myself as agnostic but I do have my own beliefs about life and death and what happens afterwards. I do belief in reincarnation and the like.
