at first maybe he's a visionary, but when he made the tree he turned into a madman...but in the end he is still belldandy's great mentor he tought bell a good morale lesson.

after celestine talked to belldandy and keiichi in the end of the movie...he gone with the wind right? where he's going to? to the moon again? or totally he's gone?....

he vanish into remorse^^?

so that means no more celestine?....where did his soul go?

it's clear that at the very least his corporial form his no more, perhaps he was happy knowing Bell would be cared for and ascended to the next plane, who knows

if that's celestine was truly gone....

Celesin is a good example of someone whose heart is in the right place, but has decided that they know better than the one running the show (in this case The Almighty One). Does this make him a good or a bad person? Not necessarily, but in the end, he's still in the wrong as he finds out. Perhaps in the end he was forgiven and perhaps not, but one thing is for sure, he realized that it was not his plave to change the world/universe.
