Having finally got my copy of AMG the movie back from my anime starved friends lol I have been presented with an interesting question: 'Celestin, madman or visionary?'

To me he's not a madman.And if anyone says he is will be eating my shoe lol mwahahahaha.He is one of my fav characters.What he tried to do in the movie I kinda agree what he did.And if I was him I'd do the very same.

I think anyone can sympathise with his view, his sanity comes into question when you consider the 'Older man enamoured of a golden girl' complex that acts as a trigger for his 'change of heart'

he has his points... he wanted to revolutionize the world with his ways, no one can blame him afterall, he's so good to bell...

I think Celestine is just misguided. He thinks he was doing the right thing but he wasn't. Characters like that are interesting to me. ^^

yeah... but he did not even try to harm bell, so i count him not as a villian but a like Tails said "misguided" character...

'not try to harm her'? Sure, if you don't count the virus, possessing Keiichi and having Morgan zap her to within an inch of her life, yeah ignore that and he was a role model of behaviour lol

i did not say he was a rolemodel...

I don't think any of us forgot about that stuff neo^^.He just wanted to stop the suffering & so he tried to change all that.If I had the power I'd do the very same.That I would :D :inoc:

yeah... when u're desperate, anyone would do something rash to save the ones u love most...

I don't think him as a visionary, he wanted change the sad world and see Belldandy happy without show to her: sadness, painful and other bad things. He decided with his head. And he had courage to do it because Celestin knew about the consequence.
