RP= Role Playing
RPGA= role playing game association, these guy run the "living" games
Living Games= these are games played by thousands of people all over the world, all playing the same adventure independently.
right now their is ebboran, Arkanis, and Grayhowk

a setting is the place the game takes place in. this determines what races you can be and what kind of game will be played.

And yeah I have played Besm D20 a little, D20 in pretty simple to learn and easy once you get the hang of it (provided you can do simple math) we even got a couple of those games here at the inn

To sum up RPG's, they're games of "let's Pretend with rules so you don't get (as many) arguments between the people playing them. ROFL
More obvious with"Paper and Pencil" games than "video game RPGs.
Of course the various systems usually provide a setting hwere it's possible to have it be more like a communal effort at storytelling. ROFL
That's Role=playing at it's best. there are also times where it's a bunch of geeks (bows, thank you, thank you. Glasses and all) just sitting around rollingdice and saying "I attack" "Possible Crit" and of course "How many experience points did we get?" ROFLMAO
That's not mentioning all the pass the chips, pop, etc. ROFL
It can be lots of fun. :D :D

Ooo, that's really cool. I just got back from one yesterday in Daytona; Anime Express. It's one of the most fun cons, but definitely THE most disorganized con in the state. :sweat:

i went to Anime North, it was held here in Canada. It was so much fun and there were so many things you could buy^_^ but i didn't get a chance to dress up...

I never been to an Anime Convention in my whole life o.o oh well

I'dlove to go to one, but they have never come here, I think its because the itnerest in my city isnt high enough ^-^' Oh well, I really wanted to go there to get better art markers, the anime amrkers thye sell are exclusive to conventions. Oh well, Promarkers is a good cmpany ^-^

hey don't diss roleplaying. itsd great fun. but i try not to touch d20 system *shudders* i play d10 more often. if anyof you are into roleplay i highly recommend looking up orpheus. basicly death isn't a way out and ghosts exist and your working for a company who specialise in sorting out ghostly activity. i won't say anymore cause there is actually a set story line that the Story teller can follow and i think it'll make an ace anime. maybe i'll start a web comic :)
roleplaying is great you can do anything you want like run a large city and do lots of politics :) i'll stop ranting now

but to keep to the topic i'd really like to go to a convension at one point. i can't find any in uk to go to though *cries* T_T
