I don't see why people feel the need to install all these extensions into their browser. Maybe it is just me but I haven't felt limited with anything the standard Opera installation includes.

I'm not going to further argue the point of whether Opera or Firefox is better because in the end it is simply a matter of personal preference with minor technical advantages on either side.

This is a discussion forum, if you aren't going to share information then don't present it in the first place.

For some reason when I disabled my Google Accelerator and Fasterfox, to see if the reason my web pages were loading incredibly slow, my web pages were loading a lot faster. I have seen reviews that fasterfox extension had been known to do that to people, is this happening to anyone else? Disable not uninstall.

I don't have much experience with either, but logically speaking; considering both of those two extensions do basicially the same thing (AFAIK), it would make sense to only use one of the two. Using both at the same time may conflict and use double the bandwidth.

Also, in my professional opinion; if you are using broadband then a web accelerator is unnecessary.

I never thought of that, it's so simple...for some reason I wasn't even thinking that they could be conflicting. Google says it made Google Web accelerator for broadband not dial-up, so wouldn't it do something then? Thanks alot!

And does anyone know exactly what the NoScript extension actually does, and is it worth having?

What I meant to say was that the connection speed is fast enough on it's own.
I don't really want to go into detail as to how a web accelerator works but needless to say it doesn't simply make your connection "faster", alot of things just happen behind the scenes to give that appearance.

Fasterfox is good for broadband as it changes the way it opens webpages, depending of how "added speed" is your concern. In broadband, it's almost nothing, but...
