you know it's kinda hard to think of what software to use when it comes to graphic designing, so if we could disscuss here which has the widest and the best that any software could have....do you have any software in you that you use in designing and drawing?

I don't draw or create pictures in the hobby, but I sometimes use GIMP(The GNU Image Manipulation Program) to edit some pictures.
GIMP is opensource software, and it has a lot of functions that quite equals Adobe Photoshop.
(For example, supporting alpha channel, layer function, some special effects etc.)
You can download this program at non-cost.

However, the windows version of GIMP isn't imperfect program.
So if you use this program, you should take some backup of image data.

I checked a new GIMP(version 2.2.10 of Windows) which bug of 'Script-fu' is fixed.
If anybody who use GIMP, I recommend to download a new one.

And I introduce another graphic editor called 'ViX'.
This is the image edit software of the Explorer type, and it is useful in Windows 95,98,Me,NT which have no display setting function of "Subsize" in Explorer.
It is made by Japanese, but English version can download at this site.
