I guess.... I dont agree with him destroying the world though. But I REALLY agree about him saying that everyone deserves to be happy.

Maybe it has to do with families, like mothers pass the symbol to their daughters and fathers to their son in heaven that's just a guess but maybe?

The markings symbolize the character's personality and emotions, as well as their weaknesses and stengths. Although there are no definitions that say specifically, each marking signifies personality. Finally, the markers are identification means. Wouldn't things get somewhat crazy if no one knew who anyone was? :)
