Does anyone know the difference between OVA ang OAV?

Yup... there is no difference. They are the same thing, direct to video animation (never aired on TV or shown in theaters).

if you want a bit more info on OVAs:

the stories in OVAs are usually based on a manga or TV series but the actual episodes are totally original stories with maybe some borrowed elements from the other formats. Visual quality is usually of a higher standard than the TV series, though this is becoming less and less common nowadays as the quality of anime production progresses.

I see... so theres no difference... thanks. But the new AMG series is a much better quality that the OVA right?

well mustnt forget that the TV series and the OVA have a difference of over 10 years and animation techniques have progressed so much.

actually I prefer the old look (in OVA and Movie) of Bell.....

yes... I like both of the old and new AMG series...but I just like the look of Bell in the OVA and Movie more..... The new one looks a little bit unfamiliar...^^ But I like both of them...they are the one person-Bell with her warm voice and her generous heart...^^

i like the current look of Belldandy in the translated manga too! i like them all! some of you may take a bit of getting used to with Belldandy's latest look in the TV series but i like it myself! in fact did u know that the TV series look is based on the current look of the Japanese manga!

I thought the art was best around the 4th Goddess arc.

so far i think the look is best in the latest translated manga volumes, you know 1 or 2 volumes in front and behind the Phantom Racer volume.
