Tutorials of 3DCG is different by 3DCG software.
So if you want to learn about it, you should find some software which is best for you.
Trial version of Shade can download in e-frontier website.

If you don't want to spend your money, find free 3DCG.
For example, Blender is opensource 3DCG software.
(I used this software before, but I accustomed to use Shade so I don't use Blender now...)
