Good point, both the potions as the machines need a certain ammount of 'magic' to work. They might not work as good, but I'm pretty sure they'd still work well.

The manga has established that Urd's potions are magical in nature (during the "Miss Keiichi" story arc, Belldandy apologizes to Keiichi by saying she can't remove his breasts, since Urd uses a different school of magic). Therefore, Urd's potions (and even the ingredients) are magical.

On the other hand, Skuld's technology has been established as non-magical. During the "Childhood's End" story arc, Belldandy says that the reason Skuld can't use her powers is in part because she relies too much on her machines. Therefore, Skuld's machines are not magical.

Both sides of the arguement are half-right (and also half-wrong).

Heh. Imbalance, just like the game ARCANUM...where magic and technology collide.

No. Magic does not have the advantage against technology, and technology does not also have the advantage against magic. They are math against each other.:bg: That's my opoinion.

and that's why i studied math in university! :bg:
if you ever think math lacks the romance and magic of other disciplines, i like to think it this way: maths is a universal language which remains true throughout the universe, unlike some branches of physics which can change according to certain conditions. Therefore i think maths is the language of the heavens.

Hihi! Silly Asgard-san! I agree with you, though.

Nah, Keiichi-san's right, though. Math is a language that is truly universal. For example, I have an exchange student in my class and she comes from Thailand. Now she understands Dutch rather well, but at first the poor thing didn't have a clue. And yet, math is the thing she's best at, 'cause it's exactly the same as at home. Everyone get's the same stuff. It's like science; everyone learns that H²O is water. Truly universal.

math is a bit of magic
you may not realize it the what it is tough but there is often quite a bit of beauty hidden inside the most rudiment equations
even in calculus math becomes more of an art that a science, the way numbers naturally flow in and out of each other in such divine relationships
beauty can be found everywhere if you look for it

you took the words right out of my mouth coolcole999! it's good to meet someone that shares teh same view on maths, once you study it, it becomes more a language with it''s own form of beauty
i think even the magic in Ah! My Goddess is based on science and math, spells are really manipulations of the equations and physics!
