what do you think Bell and the other goddesses would be like without their powers? would they be a little less perfect and caring? would they end up being just like the rest of the people in the world?

hmm... i guess they would remain as they are but without any power.... they'd be nomal people... it's like when Bell lost her power in i forgot the chapter... ^^

yes i agree, they'd just be the same good people we know, come to think of it their powers don't really form any part of their personality.
I hope they'd still be able to keep their angels!

I think they'd be essentially the same... Bell would still be kind and giving, but in more practical ways. Urd would still be the mischevious match-maker, only she wouldn't have potions to do it with. And Skuld would still be a slightly bratty pre-teen who thinks she knows everything, only without powers, she wouldn't be *right* about that. ^_^;

I agree. But like what Keichii said in the manga, for the goddesses, losing their powers are like losing their limbs; crippled and helpless.

Ah but what if they were born human? They would not be crippled that way. I wonder if Belldandy would have turned out different if she was raised on Earth? Would she be like Sayoko? *shudders*

well, sayako is that way because she is rich, spoilt, beautiful( not in my opinion) and always making fun of the crowd that she attracts. If Bell is raised that way, well, we will a sayako number 2 :P

it would be really sad if they lost their powers and their angels too! and if they were only mortal, i think they would still be kind, they would just be extremely different.

Fact is im sure if they did lose their powers they would not lose their angels but they would never be aable to use them again, because in book 15 they make it clear that if you have little power you van't cotrole your angel, Like Skuld when she first got Noble Scarlet (she is so audirible!). I wonder, what ranks would they have in school tho if they were just human? would Skuld be the school geek? would Bell remain the sweet popular girl everyone loves? and would Urd become the partying vixen?

i dont think they need to go to school! if they dont hav their powers they would still hav all the knowledge and wisdom. And another thing, Urd's ability with potions and Skuld's skill with machinery and gadgets are not really their "powers" as goddesses they are more like their own skills.
At first Skuld wasn't very good at using her goddess powers and had to rely on her know-how of gadgets!

erm actually urds powers do require magic, it said so in one of the manga's. ^-^ I was only going on a theory , what would happen if they had been born on Earth instead of Heaven. Good debate ideas non the less ^-^

I believe that, while upbringing plays a big part in a persons character, the true self of that person will always come through. With that in mind, I think Urd would probably be a partying diva who'd still do everything for the people she loves, Belldandy would be a kind and helpful person and Skuld would be a bit bratty, yet also a nice and playful teen. That is, if they were born human, of course.
