anyone here heard of an English show called "Doc martin", starring Martin Clunes? it's about a city surgeon (Clunes) who leaves the city to live in the seaside village of portwenn to become their GP and in his first day, manages to upset nearly everyone with his manners and attitude. it's very hilarious and delightful. it's a real change from the crap reality TV shows we have now|D

think ive heard of it a lot of my friends say its good but ive never got round to watchin it =/

it's got moments that make you wanna laugh your head off and others where you sympathise with certain characters as well

Sounds a little like "Northern Exposure" where a New York city doctor is transplanted to the wilds of Alaska, also a funny show....... though it's hard to beat Brit. humor usually

for those who watched the original series of doctor who, fans will notice martin clunes had a guest role in the peter davinson era
