Anybody know how many episodes the new TV series will have? The confirmed number so far, anyway; I know they can always add more if the contract is extended.

i dont think anybody would know for sure, unless your part of the production maybe. but they said they are going to see how successful the initial episodes are and if they are well received they hope to animate the entire manga series (that would be truly great!)

Wowww, that would be awesome! I don't have any doubts it'll make it that far. It's retained so much popularity, even ten years later, and the movie was a smash.

i don't remember where but i read some thing along the lines of 10 to begin with to see if they should continue the creation of them

That's so awesome! I have the first two episodes already...I love this new series. If they animate the manga, I will be so happy that I might just burst. XD

Me too! I'd love to see them go all the way through the manga; a few series *have* done that before, and AMG definitely has the potential to.

True, 'cause honestly I think nothing really beats the manga versions of a story. After all, the manga is always the way the manga-ka had meant it to be, so it's always better.

Well, Fujishima-sama's work is very popular in Japan. from what I have read, people over there have been clammoring for an Ah! My Goddess TV series for years.

You're Under Arrest is actually considered his "lesser" work, and it spawned a 4 episode OVA, 75 tv-series episodes, a movie, mini-specials, a one episode spin-off set in LA, and a live action series.

Personally, I'm hoping that it lasts at least as long as Ranma or Naruto... 1 episode per chapter seems right to me (skipping some like the Otaku Professor. As of episode 6, they've only covered up to volume 9 of the manga....
