Actually, they'd all be Asgardian, or Yggdrasilian...

Peorth is kind of like a French Otaku... she throws French words into the conversation to make herself sound smart (a live action example would be Frasier and Niles Crane from Frasier).

Larry

PS is she actually speaking French in the original Japanese? I know when they translate stuff into English, if a character is speaking English, they will make it Spanish or French or some other language (like they did in Azumanga Diaoh).

Asgard lloyd, from ur profile i know ur in southeast asia and i will assume that the manga there is translated into ur home language there, forgive me if im wrong.
Yes, in the english version of the manga, Peorth sometimes does speak french, she doesnt speak it all the time. a few phrases here and there.

man 30 volumes...and Im only on 16. I really do want to skip ahead and read some of the scans. I have this dilema with music all the time. most of the stuff I listen to is on slsk way before its official release...its so tempting...ill try and wait though

although scans provide a great source for pics, one mustnt forget that actually reading the scanlations is kind of cheating the hardworking people that worked to give us the official manga in the first place. we should be fair and buy the official release when it comes out.

Not to refute you but I have found the over all fan translations tend to be truer in feel and actual meaning than Official ones, a good example would be azha munga dio (slaughtered that)

I download scanlations so I can be as current as possible, then buy the official version when it comes out. And I agree, the official translations do tend to change things a lot. For example, they completely dropped all of the honorifics from OMG.

DC comics recently decided they wanted some of the manga market, and they are ruining Tenjou Tenge. Believe it or not, they are trying to make it into a kid's book as best they can. Ug.

Dark Horse does a decent job with OMG, but they still have a tendancy to "Americanize" it.

still i would rather have the actual book in my hands as opposed to having it on my disk drive.

i agree on having the hardcopy because you can't recover the files in the computer when it suddenly crashed down and you don't have the cd.... Also, it feels so happy when you buy the book.

However I do not buy it, I recieve mine from the library, I have become famous there because Im always in and out for it :D and a number of other mangas and regular novels. I love to read ^_^ Its the best pass time!

yes, reading mangas is a brilliant pass time! and its so simple too just you the manga and good lighting, there's no need for internet connections, monitors and power hungry computers. Plus it's not good to stare too long at a monitor screen.

well with the advent of the LCD screen starring is not as bad as it used to be...
And I origanally got all my manga in digital form and still view it as the "real" way to read it, but the real thing is starting to grow on me...

not necessarily LCDs may be less harmful than the CRTs but make note it is "less" doesnt mean the effect is negated completely. there is still a certain level of rado from such things.
