Oh, I've tried to do that. There's a program I got when we got Windows XP. It's called Windows Movie maker and it let's you do just what you said there, taking clips and putting them all together. This was a custom thing so I'm not too sure about things you can buy or download. Sorry if that info was useless to you ^^;

There's many movie editors around, but one of most famous is virtualDub that lets cut and paste parts of movies easily.

Using its Frameserver the final movie can be exported to mpeg format.

Well...cutting and pasting anime series parts are really better :) than some anime music videos that just show the artist singing or dancing etc.-_- For example the Astro Boy's (Japanese) Op.Theme Video will have much more children viewers if they'll just play the animated parts of Astro Boy than having the artists just sing and dance..:annoyed: it's like a little boring u know..._.

But for amateurs who does want to make anime music videos of their own..I also sujest the Microsoft XP Movie Maker. U can read it's instrustions on how to use it when u click for HELP button. It can really assist u on its own so Gud Luck!:bounce:

By the way....Microsoft Movie Maker is located at the Microsoft Plus! from All Programs in the Start Menu.

Its also NOT DOWNLOADED coz when you install Microsoft Office XP :comp: (its impossible that a computer doesn't have an office):annoyed: its one of the original programs in the Microsoft Plus! that u don't have to install.:)

So I think I've helped you a little even if you three(Chonrad, Imi, Gabriolis) are serious or not about that music video thingy:heh:

Thats all!:)

I've been messing around with making AMV's for a while now; only thing that bugs me is that I can't seem to make clips from all the types of video's. I wonder why that is...

Really, a pretty good way to do it is use Windows movie maker. You can download it on http://microsoft.com They can be sorta confusing, but they have some good stuff. Hope that helps!

Well...um...actually...I already use that, but there are certain kinds of movies that you can't extract clips from with Windows Movie Player. So that's where I'm kind of stuck. :sheep:

Well, I know that Animemusicvideos.org is pretty popular. It's kind of like Otaku but then with AMV's instead of Kiss dolls. And I've also used the Windows Movie Maker, gokubussjr. It really is good for beginners. I'm still working on a CCS AMV with the song 'Precious things' by Tori Amos and have finished a Ranma AMV using 'Mama' from the Spice Girls. Lame, I know. :bg:

I usually get mine with Kazaa, but if you don't have that, you can easily look for AMV's with a search engine. Try google, for example. Just type in something in the lines of 'Oh! My goddess AMV' and you're bound to find something.
