I would really like to know or get some ideas of how to best store my manga books to ensure they last. They are very precious to me especially my Oh My Goddess! ones. at the moment i keep them on my book shelf but i want to get a cabinet for them with a door or sliding panel to keep them safe and tucked away. Does anybody know of better ideas to preserve ones manga? all suggestions are welcome and be appreciated

i m hoping my dad would be able to make something like that for me, he's quite the carpenter and seems to enjoy new projects. A glass door so that i can view my mangas as a display is not a bad idea at all, i'll have to see if i can get one.

well, a couple of years ago i had to move, and had to put some of my manga in storage for a while ;_; so, to protect them from wind/rain/insects and dirt i wrapped them in plastic wrap. worked like a charm. so if your really desperate for something you might try making a saranwrap covering for them, or if you want to go really high tech, buy a plastic wrap like you would put over a moniter:bg:

A plastic wrap is a solution to keep mangas in mint condition, comic collectors do it all the time (like Spider-man issue #1). Maybe i could get one of those air tight plastic storage boxes (not the ones for food). Thing is do they make plastic wallets for mangas like they do with comics? those anybody know?

You want to make sure you put them in ***acid free*** comic bags. This means no yellowing of pages! I know they're smaller than the comic bags, but you can double it over and tape it shut. This is how I store my manga, wrapped in comic bags, piled in a plastic bin.

yeah i think i'll do that!, i think there's a comics store (the marvel types) somewhere in my local mall where i can buy some of those wallets, i'd like the ones with the "clip on " closing strip.

i doubt it, you know how those comic store guys/gals can be, the prices are over inflated. but if its for the good of my mangas i suppose im prepared for it.

i'm not sure if they have a membership scheme there, the comics scene is not as big over here as it is in the USA. But they dont have many (if any) mangas there so even if i do join i would not be making much use of it.
