HOLY CRAP. despite this hurricane only being a level 2 storm (only he says) the major damage really occurs because the place it hit is 2 meters below sea level and water levels tend to rise 2 hours before the storm hits. this level huricane can reach speeds of 96-110 mph (119-153 km/hr) and these types of huricanes are capable of lifting poorly anchored boats which was why people saw boats flying into buildings. by the time the huricane reaches the main land which is a looooong way it shouldn't do as considerable damage as it did round the coast. we just have to pray that the huricane doesn't go to a category 3 because then we'll be getting about 5 ft of water 8 miles inland and we'll start seeing structural damage as well. (hahaha i know too much about huricanes)

Actually, this stuff was bound to happen. When tragedy strikes , human compassion is the first thing shown. However, in a surprisingly small amount of time, greed and anger rear their ugly head. Refugees are coming into my city now, and from the stories that have come out, the worst is yet to come. A man shot his sister in the head over a bag of ice. Greedy storeowners are charging $10 u.s. for a bag of ice and $6 u.s. a gallon of fuel. And because of the rioting, they wont let other Firefighters volunteer to help because we'll probably get shot. Amazing how sour things get real fast huh?
