A multi-day rpg/movie session, that I can undrestand, cold pizza and warm cola for fuel, brings back memories. I've even gone camping for a week and ended up as ripe as old tomatoes, but not to take ten minutes to clean up before going out in public... yeah, that's hardcore alright. Stunned as a post too.

i live in hawaii and i've never heard of any conventions here..though i wouldn't doubt it. we do get alot of anime stuffs :D

My advice to you Vlax-san. Take a LOT of money. Usually there is so much anime merchandise for sale, you'll want to buy it all. Especially since Hawaii is the halfway point between Japan and the US, your selection of goods will be greater. Also you might get lucky and meet some of the popular seiyuu's of anime. Kikuko Inoue and Megumi Hayashibara have been to Anime Expo in California before. Also, there are usually j-pop concerts at those conventions as well. You'll have a lot of fun.

wow that's pretty cool. i'll bet my sister will go with her friend, they're both really big on anime and love drawing it and making up their own characters (heh as you can see in my fanart :P)

told the sis this mornin, she started making a few plans to go to it already. if i go it'll just be to see if they have anime for 'cheap' prices. i'm not into cosplay an stuff like that.

Same here. The cosplay idea does appeal to me, just for the fun of it, but then of course I'd have to get my friends to dress up too. But it's probably never going to happen...sniff...;_;

Yeah I know how that goes. I don't know anyone in around this area that would be interested in doing Cosplay either. Most of them would probably laugh at me, and make fun.

Cosplay is kinda interesting in me coz you will find people wearing costumes of their favorite anime characters!

But i remember that there is an event in here...sometime around last year...i think it is entitled "Anime on Ice" coz they held the presentation in ice skating rinks...

Eleeri, your in a better spot to go to an anime convention than most people. Surf the net. They're getting more popular and you might find one near you. Hmmm, Reiyuka-chan as Usagi in a Sailor Moon costume...interesting. Asgard- lloyd as Totoro on skates :P
