i think the goddess shown in the manga strip used the character design of Kobayakawa Miyuki and added the goddess markings on her forehead, afterall it is a You're Under Arrest manga strip. Still the inspiration for Belldandy is highly evident! ^_^

theres another one...there are rumors that AMG is inspired from the sitcom called 'bewitched'...it is a story about a witch who is married to a mortal man... ^_^

like u said those are rumours, i havent heard from anywhere official that the series was inspired by Bewitched! now that would really be pulling it!

however, back in earlier days, the series "I Dream of Jenie" was quite popular in Japan and have probably sparked some inspirations for anime makers. Notice how Sumomo from Chobits resembles a genie?

actually both of you are right be 'Bewitched' and 'I dream of Jeanie' were both extremly popular and inspired anime creators to push to boundries of anime ^-^ and begin new ideas that had more to do with 'fun magic' then 'creepy magic' or as K1 already pointed out costumes such as Sumomo's from chobits (she looks just like jeanie) As well i herd to rumour that betwitched inspired A!MG too, its hard to establish weather it is a rumour or not. Official sites may see it as a non important information and smaller sites may be overlooked.

Maybe Fushijima would like to know the existence of this site, a site dedicated to his creation :)
Maybe the best way to contact them is indirectly through a magazine article or a newspaper.
