With most of the focus now on the new TV series i thought it'd be nice to reflect back onto the Original Version Anime that first brought Belldandy and co onto our screens. I'd like to talk about the intro, during the OVA sequence various characters from the manga are shown including Mara, the ninjas and earth spirit to name a few. This made me wonder, did they intend to animate the manga series back when they did the OVA?

It's possible they may have wanted to continue with another OVA. It also could have been a marketing ploy. You know, "think these characters are cool? Buy the manga to see who they are!"

yeah thats true..I mean did they really wanted to put those characters in the series too? They were chracters from the manga instead.....I hope the new series have those chracters in it .....

well, if the intro for the new TV series is anything to go by it should have those characters in the series. Most likely they will since it is based on the manga. Im looking forward to seeing Banpei, Sigel, Peorth and so many others i can't list them all!

Has anyone of you know where to find the official theme song of the new series?

dun think the full vers of both the op and ed is out yet. according to the official site, the CD with the full vers and karaoke vers will be release only next week. think u might be able to find the tv size though.

the CD single for the TV series full songs for the intro and outro will be out on 2005-01-26, its a Yoko Ishida CD, im definitely ordering it!

...is that (the yoko i. album) classified as J-pop?

hmmmm... should be..... i think. It's an OST, so i do not have a idea, especially when over here, they don't play anime songs even if they are no different from a Jpop song....

the Yoko Ishida CD single for "Open Your Mind" might be classified as J-pop (depends where you shop really) but if you're waiting for the OST of the TV series then that will be released on 2005-02-25 (thats for Vol.1 btw)

i dont know yet exactly what the new OST will be titled probably it's just going to be "Ah! My Goddess OST vol 1" (sorry i know that doesnt help much)
