" Hello people I am new here. I come from Brazil and I like Oh! My Goddess very much. I hope I can communicate well with other Brazilians."

Now my own message. The usual things can be said, that I am quite taken in by Belldandy etc, but what I would really like to know is if there were any AMG addiction recovery advice. I am spending way too much time on AMG. Are there any activities I could do which could curb my addiction to a healthy level?

For myself, i am not Brazilian, I only lived there for a while but I can speak it well enough. I am presently studying in a rather competitive university, an ivy league one no less, so you could probably guess why i need the help for my addiction. Thanks.

p.s i know its off topic, but starting a new one when i am completely new seems a little ostentatious. Plus, I wanted to do my part for this community by translating the bit of Portuguese.

Cool! Nice to have you here. You and Blackcat should get along well because she speaks Portugese. As far as anti-AMG! addiction goes, can't help you much. I'm completely smitten, although not as bad as I am with Kikuko Inoue. Glad to have you. Give us your name when you can. :)

Thanks for the welcome. This is a great site with up to date information. I am looking forward to the new series as well.

As for the addiction, I think it is a tiny bit unnatural to be humming the opening song of the OAV while doing differential calculus, which was exactly what I was doing when I decided that I was obsessed and needed help . I assumed that since a lot of you have been long term fans and have managed to survive without the AMG series occupying a huge chunk of your thought processes almost constantly, you would be able to provide tips on how to handle this addiction. Any help is appreciated.

By the way, could anyone explain this "feathers" concept?
Thanks

Ya wanna talk unnatural? Ok, listen to this. I have the AMG! opening theme as a ringtone on my cel. I also have a LOT of AMG! merchandise, some of it very rare. I've been collecting AMG! stuff since 1993, and have been following the series since that time also. I am major league head over heels over Belldandy's seiyuu ,Kikuko Inoue and have all of her cd's ,as well as some posters of hers and photo albums. My absolute favorite song is "Sotsgoyou" from Ms. Inoue, and I've been listening to it almost everyday for 11 years. My avatar is Keiichi. And I'm always checking Ebay for more AMG! stuff. Believe me, I'm the LAST person to give you any advice on how to find an AMG! cure. Best advice I can give you, is give it up. Admit defeat and go with the flow. I have, without regret. And the next time you feel like humming " My Heart, Iidasenai, Your Heart Dakeshimetai", remember the lyrics are......." Koi ni naranai ne, soba ni iru dake ja " . :P

You are correct. AMG is an entirely legitimate interest. The funny thing is that I do not really like most anime. Are there other works which anyone could recommend?

Now to answer the question, if someone walked out of my mirror, television or computer monitor, i would probably suffer a nervous breakdown. It seems rather similar to the Ringu series, which left me traumatised for a week, and taught me all about the evils of unauthorized copying of tapes and other materials. Ringu becomes much more scary, when your friend shows it to you from a pirated VCD.

By the way, who had walking out of (reflective surface) idea first?

i would not think to ask for what keiichi did because most people would be selfish and want something for them selves. so i would ask for something like money or if i could not make up my mind i would ask for belldandy (or whoever) to stay a while till i thought of something. and if i thought of it i would ask for belldandy to stay with me because that would be so cool and fun.
