awwww its really sweet that you still have that friend K1 ^^ i still have a friend that i met when i was six as well. i am only 15 now though so it really hasn't been that long. unfortunately, she recently moved to a different province so i hardly get to see her but talk to her on the phone and computer a lot!

I think true friendships are ones that last through the high school years. I had a friend who is 4 yrs younger than me..... He doesn't even want to talk to me anymore. I don't know why..... I even phoned his house to talk to him and he pretends he is not in. That happened ever since he started high school.....

I still have my other friend though. We have known each other we were 7 yrs old and we are still friends. That's a 10 year old friendship.:) We are the same age as each other.

I find that it can be hard to keep friends over long periods, between moves and 4 school changes. At least I get to meet new people in different locals

it is quite sad to think that with technology advancing to bring people closer together (eg internet) we still hear of stories where friends drift apart.
its kinda like a special case with my old friend, because we both went to the same schools thourghout our education, and we even went to the same university, plus the fact we both live in the same town.

a friend is a friend, there's no "real" or "real life" friend, even if i never seen any of the people here on this site i would still consider them a friend. think of it like a pen-pal if you have trouble realising it.

the friendship is here is also deeper than a pen-pal, here you can do a live chat in teh chatroom and we can also send instant messages to each and there's always the forums! pen-pals have to wait maybe a month for their next letter.

well at least its not like before in like the 1800's where it would take a hole year just to get the letter across the ocean

LOL if youre making those sort of comparisons! then at least its not like back in the stone age where letters are limited to pictures on the wall! LOL
