Oh man.....Now I got to buy more NGE dvds now, well soon.sighs.But I'm interested to seeing the series.

Unlike ah! My Goddess those guys are planning to make 4 movies, i agree with them, the original TV series seem to have no sequel at all, i think they will try to tell other individual stories using the movies. Hope there could be more eva kicking each other :p (as long they don't exaggerate with spiritual things it might be enjoyable)

the last 2 episodes of the eva was somewhat confusing to me though.. anyway nice to know that theres a new 1 comming :D

The dvds of evangelion series are pretty poor aren't they? Full of bounces and glitches, not worth buying them...

It seems new demo movie of Evangelion is distributed on homepage... I'm looking forward to see the movie in this summer!

And about the belief declaration of general director of Evangeloin 'Hideaki Annno', he remarked that this movie will change animation industry of Japan in many ways. I translated a very interesting interviews of Hideaki, so please quote if you have any opinions about how will Japanese animation become in the future.

Ok, the first FAKES started appearing, so it might be close to appear something real.
To say the true im very concerned after seeing that trailer i hope the first movie is not a bunch of recap scenes (just with better picture quality) lol.

The movie was started at Japan now, so I saw it 2 days ago. And I think this movie is total review from first to "Yashima operation".
There is no great change in the story, however there are some change points at character dialog or scenes. (It seems there are a big change point from next time for the story according to a previous notice at the end of the movie.) Of cource, graphic and sound are very great than TV series.

In Japan, ticket of the movie sold over 200 million yen at two days. It seems phenomenon of Evangelion started again...

I just saw the movie, and despite it had "bakelite" sound it was bearable (it was probably captured at the cinema hall).
Well what can i say, the movie is a mirror from the first 6 episodes of the original TV Series (Angels 3, 4 and 5)
Despite the animation isn't exactly the same (5th angel has a different behavior and attach styles) it brings you nothing new, my guess is that they will remake Evangelion TV Series into 4 movies, i wonder what for since they did plenty remakes in the past.
Apart from bringing you nothing new the animation is interesting and despite i would rather have something new even with a crappy encode it might be a good add-on for Evangelion Hardcore Fans.

But I heard that there will be something new, too (which may effect the Hardcore Fans like us) such as, new ending for the final episode (different from The End of Evangelion), focus on Rei instead of Asuka, the appearance of prototype evangelions (Eva-04 and the new Eva-05), etc. But all new extra here will appear in later episodes (and some are rumours).

The rebuild of this version is to improve the picture by adding more CG and more frames in some motions, and also the soundtrack which some of them are better for new scenes (but I think mostly, the old version are better...). I wish to see the DVD version soon when they are released on the internet. :E
