Any of those "Full Moon o Sagashite" fans out there see KKJ? It's that creator's first series, and it's so good! There are a lot of "kaitou" anime out there now, so it's similar to those (DNAngel, Saint Tail), but I really enjoyed it. Opinions, comments, anyone?

Glad to help, guys. :) Right now it's kinda hard to find info on the show, and the one place I knew putting out fansubs decided to stop making them... but I'm almost certain the manga's coming out in the US soon under the name "Phantom Theif Jeanne"; I'm not sure about the anime.

what's the anime about?

Well, it starts off fairly straightforward. Maron is your average high school student until one day Fin, an angel, tells her that she is actually the reincarnation of Jeanne d'Arc! Fin informs her that there are evil spirits that are possessing beautiful things, and draining the energy from those who come to enjoy their beauty. It's Maron's job to transform into Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, and use her extraordinary talents as a "phantom theif" to sneak into places and seal away these evil spirits. Unfortunately, once she does this, the object is destroyed.

There's a very interesting cast of supporting characters, as well. There's Maron's best friend, the daughter of the police cheif, who is hell-bent on capturing the elusive theif Jeanne, as well as a mysterious rival theif, Sindbad. Not to mention all her colorful classmates.

There are two seasons to the show, so two major story arcs. The plot does get much deeper the further you go, delving into each of the main characters' backgrounds and uncovering secrets. Season one is really fun and entertaining, but season two was what *really* hooked me.

I know for certain it's *been* fansubbed, but I couldn't tell you where to find it... I'm still on 56k, so I know nothing about bittorrent, either. :P I have copies of it on tape, but the distributor I got it from has sinced stopped producing fansubs... When all else fails, I d/l off WinMX. ^_^;

i've just did a bit of research into the series! wow you're right the artwork is very similar to Full Moon wo Sagashite, i think the character designs are quite similar too! i cant wait to get a hold of it!
Melichan, youre still on 56k dial up!? i used to use that too, but then we changed to broadband which is much faster, i highly recommend it! you'll never want to go back to dial-up again!

I *wish* I could get highspeed, but as it is I can't afford another $60 a month... I already have a car payment, cell phone, computer loan, student loan, credit card... gahh, that list is too long. @_@

Another series by the same author is Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch, which is becoming really big in the anime underground. It's super-girly! It's about mermaids who turn into people who turn into Super Crime-fighting Pop Idols! I don't know much more about it than that, but I'm trying to find out more.
