My mom is luckily more concerned about me being a witch then me liking anime. Besides, the good thing is that I let her see a few episodes from different anime, so she doesn't exactly have a problem with it. The fact that my sister's boyfriend likes it too is also a big plus. But yeah, it does suck, Vlax-san. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait until i'm on my own to buy from the internet then. :)

My mom used to not like anime either, but my dad likes watching it with us. He likes to watch cartoons (like cartoon network cartoons) I guess it's a way to relieve stress for him, since cartoons always give him a laugh. So basically now my mom doesn't care what we watch, ya know as long as there isn't nooked people running around.

Being an anime fanatic is the best thing that happened to me....

You're right!, it can relieve your stress... But, there's something more... Anime's simply has what we call... Magic!

My mum thinks it's a serious waste of time and money, anime are for children only and strictly and I should spend more time studying. really, I studied so much that i never bbother to know and understand ppl. Think she shouldn't be that narrow minded. Anime are for EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, my parents are like that too, they think anime is stupid. *sigh* And almost everybody at my school hates anime and manga. Did manage to convert a couple of people tho.

You know my favorite thing to do when I get off my shift especially on a payday weekend, is to buy some chinese food, some iced tea and watch anime. Anime is to me, preferable than what usually comes out on TV nowadays. and even at my age is not silly, but refreshingly entertaining. Well, depending on what you watch that is. Stay away from the ultra-violent and hentai stuff.

Ultra-V-I-O-L-E-N-T! Not ultraviolet silly. ^_^ That would be any anime that basically is all blood and gore and not much else. Not exactly something I would want to show my kids one day. And definitely NOT what you would want to show your family if your trying to convince them watching anime isn't bad.

Right, I totally agree. Though, I didn't get to that great of a start when I decided to watch Battle Angel Alita the first time with my mom in the room. She was absolutely horrified. But then when she saw an episode of Rurouni Kenshin, she thought that it had been rather sweet. :) Parents, they're so funny.

My mum thought that i joined some occult grp or something when she saw me watch subaru sumeragi in X; all the talisman and the 5 point star formation and also fainted when she saw the chinese title for samurai deeper kyo; demon eyes kyo literally.

Wow, that's gong a bit overboard. And the 5-point star is called a pentagram, HolyBell-san.
