Chieko Honda is the soul of Hotarunosuke Morisato’s girlfriend (Keiichi’s grandfather). She appeared in volume 8, Belldandy and the entire NIT team go on a training trip. Apparently Hotarunosuke made a promise to Chieko that he would take her for a ride on his motorcycle. Unfortunately Cheiko died before he could fulfill his promise to her. Since then, for over 80 years she stayed at the hotel waiting for him to come back to her to her because she was truly deeply in love with him. She is a very sweet and caring character who tries her best to help out Belldandy and Keiichi in volume 8 (she only appears for 1 chapter).

Note: Cheiko is not exactly a ghost, but a ‘spirit body’ she has a reflection and can hold objects.
